A diverse gathering of people moved to downtown Basle on November 24, 2018 to prevent the right-wing extremist PNOS (Nationally Oriented Swiss Party) from marching. The right-wing extremists were blocked and pushed to the edge of their meeting place by around 2000 participants in the “Basel Nazi-free” demonstration. It was a great success against the inhuman, racist and anti-Semitic PNOS and its followers.
This courage has consequences: Several demonstrators were subsequently criminalized. Throughout Switzerland there were house searches and high criminal charges from the Basle public prosecutor's office. In the current series of trials in Basle, deterrent prison sentences, fines and high court costs have already been spoken. Many lawsuits are still pending. For some of the defendants, this jeopardizes their livelihoods.
Let's not leave those people alone who have taken to the streets against right-wing extremists! In the current situation, donations mean great solidarity. Thanks for your support.
